Our team has prior experience at companies like McKinsey, Verizon, Reuters, Code & Theory and Fantasy Interactive. We follow best practices in Product Management, UX Design and Software Engineering. 

We're looking for an intern Product/UX Designer to join our team and assist with designing products across various projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with a skilled team on interesting projects in a dynamic and enjoyable atmosphere. While some experience with visual design is valued, the main focus of this position is on honing skills in interaction design, information architecture, and designing advanced customer and enterprise applications. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with our talented team, interacting directly with our top clients. It's an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

About You

You have an interest in user experience design, product design, or industrial design. You're familiar with tools like Figma, having used them throughout your education and early career. You're eager to expand your visual skills and delve into interaction design. Communication is one of your strengths, and you're open to learning about product management, even taking on some responsibilities in that area to complement your design learning. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are enthusiastic about learning how to handle complex user experience problems hands-on.

Responsibilities

1. Gain a comprehensive understanding of what a product's requirements entails from the user’s perspective.

2. Assist in identifying target personas for whom the product is being developed.

3. Conduct research including competitive and comparative analysis of similar products.

4. Assist in creating user flows to depict the ideal user experience with the product.

5. Collaborate with our internal team to create user stories, detailing the valuable steps for the user's journey.

7. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute initial sketches/concepts aligned with user requirements.

8. Contribute to creating digital user experience concepts and concept directions.

9. Work with internal and client teams to refine and iterate on design concepts.

10. Assist in creating digital wireframe renderings of concepts, integrating visual designs.

11. Assist in creating clickable prototypes to demonstrate the user experience.

12. Contribute to the development of a style guide consistent with the product’s brand.

13. Learn how to follow accessibility requirements in design decisions.

14. Learn to design across various screen sizes and form factors (desktop/tablet/mobile).

15. Gain experience in using modern, aesthetically pleasing typography and visuals in the design process.

16. Support our team in conducting user tests and gathering stakeholder feedback for iterative improvements.

17. Learn to create visual and development specifications for software development teams to implement design concepts.

Key Skills and Requirements:

1. 0-1 years of experience in a product design role, with a strong willingness to learn and grow.

2. Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Photoshop, or Adobe CC, with basic to intermediate proficiency.

3. Portfolio showcasing any prior design experience, including projects related to graphic design and digital products.

4. Interest in learning to identify suitable color palettes for products based on branding guidelines.

5. Basic knowledge of typography types, with a willingness to learn and recommend suitable typography pairings.

6. Ready to create and contribute to style guides, with a desire to evolve products based on feedback.

7. Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and take ownership of the design process with guidance.

8. Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Design, Industrial Design, or related design discipline.

9. A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.

10. Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a collaborative environment.

11. A sense of humor and a positive outlook on challenges and learning opportunities.

1. Experience with Design Systems

2. Experience using component libraries (eg Material UI)

3. Experience supporting or working closely with Product management with knowledge of software product management process

4. Experience with project management and coordinating internal and client meetings

5. Experience working in a client-facing role
