Technical Product Manager

We follow best practices in Product Management, UX Design and Software Engineering.

We are seeking a cross-project Technical Product Manager to help own, develop and coordinate our various ongoing projects. This is a great opportunity to work among a highly talented team on exciting projects in a fast-paced and fun environment.

About You

You come from a technical background and have pivoted or are looking to pivot to a Technical Product Manager role. You are an excellent communicator, analytical thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem solving. You are comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment and not afraid to go hands on and help solve technical problems with the engineering team. You have a Computer Science degree, have worked at a small to medium size company as a software engineer and are looking to leverage your technical expertise in a PM role. You have worked in organizations that have geographically distributed teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Interface with clients to understand their requirements and help develop product roadmaps. 
  2. Help create ideal digital user experiences with our in-house UX Designers to meet client needs 
  3. Write user stories and acceptance criteria for Software Engineers based on product business value and help build out the defined user experience
  4. Lead the technical decision-making process for projects, identifying suitable solutions based on client needs and constraints.
  5. Drive project execution and oversee product development work streams on a day-to-day basis. Plan development sprints and identify and resolve blockers for the team to keep the projects on track.
  6. Conduct product acceptance and quality assurance on delivered software 
  7. Work with our offsite engineers to plan their work, provide them what they need and conduct acceptance of their work
  8. Communicate effectively to articulate the product’s current state, risks if any to internal and external teams. 
  9. Be a mentor and guide for the team and contribute towards technical leadership.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  1. 3 years of experience working in a client-facing product development role with a proven track record of managing projects from concept to delivery
  2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  3. Experience working with designers and cross-functional teams
  4. Product management experience with knowledge of users, customers, data, industry, company and product operations
  5. Strong project management and organization skills: The customers for this role are other internal engineering and business teams, and as a result organization skills are a must. 
  6. Ability to multitask projects and own the product delivery process.
  7. Deep technical expertise – you understand front end frameworks, distributed systems and high-scale technology infrastructure. Familiar with modern technology stack (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node, MySQL) and Cloud based services (AWS toolkit) 
  8. Eagerness to learn and grow.
  9. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent experience is a must-have.
  10. A proactive, positive, can-do attitude 
  11. A sense of humor

  1. Experience working with offshore teams 
  2. Experience working with DevOps, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering teams.
